Assignment: Explore sensory boundaries expanding your creativity. Create depth drawing words to interpret a poem, song, or sentence

The three images are water surrounding a swimmer. I started with an image of a swimmer, then by taking the space and the negative space, I designed the outline of the swimmer by making the letters use the shape of the figure. Then, filling in the negative space, I used darker colors to show that the swimmer is surounded by water. The elements usaged are the use of negative space, movement and shape. The negative space is shown in the first image as the letters make a shape of a person swimming. The movement of the letters shows a wave like pattern with overlapping that shows depth in the image. The waves use harmony as a principle because the emoiton of waves are very calm and relaxed.

The images are related to the reading in chapter 6 by using nature’s element of water. The colors, matter, and symbols are similar to the ones given the the table 6.3 the discusses the properties of water in design.
