Wood Carving Statue

P1140042  P1140044

The design of this statue captures the movement and energy of leaves on plants with the relation leaves have with water after it has rained. The main portion of the statue is sculpted into the shape of a leaf with the branching movement of the vains within the leaf. The energy flows from the center of the holes on the front and side and moves outward like that of a leaf in nature. The asymmetric, branching pattern on the holes displays that not all leaves have balanced movement within them. The water drop like shape at the botton of the sculpture symbolizes the ever flowing movement of water with its interal spiral shape.
