This first assignment was challenging because this was the first time I ever fulling animated something in Maya. What this assignment taught me was that timing and spacing of frames along with arcs are very important for fluid and life like animation.
Ball 1: The first ball was said to have too much stretching as it bounced off the ground, after this, I went and made the ball stretch not as much. There were also problems with the ball not matching the rotation of the refrence and that it needed to ease into the arches.
Ball 2: The issues with this ball were that it didn’t have a direct bounce, having a heavy drop point, too much spin, and when the ball slides at the end when it was suppose to roll. All these issues were fixed in the resubmission.
Ball 3: Mainly for this ball, the timing of the frames was a big issue. The arches in the bounces were also needed to be more curves and the ball needed more squashing on impact.
