Sound Map Listening Exercise


This is a  sound map of the simplified main area of the Student Learning Center at Alfred State. The colors represent 8 of the most occurring sounds that take place in this social space, other than conversations and music. The cooler colors representing the softer, more common sounds like footsteps and the soda fountain, while the warmer colors represent unexpected/higher frequency sounds like tables and chairs moving, someone with metal keychains on their bags, or the blender going off at Evergreen. The volume differ depending on the intensity of the colors, the higher the intensity, the higher the volume; the keychains being the lowest and the table screeching  being the highest
